September 8, 2023Coenzyme Q10 is a substance found in the body form of humans, animals and plants. Another name of Coenzyme Q10, which is found in all cells in the body, is "Ubiquinone".
Coenzyme Q10, which is similar to a vitamin in being an endogenous compound, significantly supports energy production in mitochondria.
Important Functions of Coenzyme Q10 in the Body:
- The number of mitochondria in a cell can vary depending on the type of tissue and cell. The amount of mitochondria in a cell is directly proportional to the level of energy required by the cell.
- Energy metabolism is an important part of our body. Coenzyme Q10 plays a very important role in energy metabolism and is therefore essential for energy metabolism. Almost all, about 97%, of this energy-providing metabolic action depends on the formation of Coenzyme Q10 and NADH.
